What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Provide practical skills and reading habits for students”

I will teach the students every time. Moreover, I provide practical skills for them by conducting labs in various subjects like Pharmaceutics, Herbal Drug Technology, Pharmacognosy, Microbiology, and Pathophysiology. I encourage students to participate in various conferences held within and out of the institutions. It helps them to grab skills in various aspects. I advise the students to develop reading habits by choosing various journals, magazines, and articles.

What do you provide for placements and higher education of students in Vaagdevi College Of Pharmacy?

“Organize mock tests, interviews, and placements for the better future of pupils”

Pharmacy caters to the preparation of medicines required for patients treatment. The knowledge gained from various branches of pharmacy is sufficient for the students to secure appropriate jobs. We conduct mock tests, interviews, and internal examinations related to various interviews to ensure the job possibilities of students. Moreover, our institution links with several multinational companies for the placements of pupils. The students' complete graduation can enter for higher education in several departments. The mock tests related to GPAT, and PGCET help candidates in acquiring seats in various Institutions in the country.

Several job opportunities are available in a pharmacy degree. Pharmaceuticals are in demand since the covid pandemic. Acquisition of necessary skills, knowledge, competence in a variety of areas helps a successful career. B. pharm or M. pharm degree holders will get various opportunities in Pharmaceutical industries like Quality control, production, regulatory affairs, clinical research, and intellectual property analyst. Moreover, they have opportunities in Government sectors as Drug inspectors, Pharmacists, Medical writers, and teaching.

What are the approaches you bring apart from the curriculum to train students?

“Extracurricular activities for the progress of students”

We have activities every week. Every weekend consists of presentations by students, fun activities, and games. We encourage the students to take part in NCC, NSS, sports, and dance competitions held in the college. We conduct mock interviews and guest lectures from industry top to lead placements of students. They take the physical classes and webinars of the pharmacy field. Moreover, Several college conferences link with industries and government officials.

How do you help a student to deal with the competition in the outside world?

The competition in the outside world is high nowadays. A talented candidate only paced in a reputed company. It is based on the skills, knowledge, and interest of students. I would encourage the students to face the market trends.

We held National and International conferences on campus for improving the performance skills of students. Moreover, we are planning student exchange programs. It helps to send our students to foreign universities and intake from universities to our college for 2-3 months. It aids them to communicate with different environments and expand their knowledge.
