December 10, 2021: As per the India Skills Report 2022 released by Wheebox, the employability of youth has improved to 46.2% in 2021 from 45.97% last year.
B.Tech and MBA programs have achieved the most employable talent tag as per the ISR 2022. Additionally, the women employable pool has recorded a 51.44% employability of females, while for the male employable pool, 45.97% of males were found highly employable for the 2021-22 session.
The India Skills Report 2022 was launched on December 09, 2021, by Wheebox in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

India Skills Report 2022: Overall Employability Data
As per the employability data released under India Skills Report 2022, 88.6 percent of graduates are looking for internship opportunities. Furthermore, the gender gap in employability has also improved the overall state report.

India Skills Report 2022: States with Highest Employability Rate
Following the report release, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala have recorded the highest employability for the 2021-22 session. Cities that have recorded the most employable talent are Pune, Lucknow, and Trivandrum.
Top BE/B.Tech Colleges in India 2021-22
Based on the data received, the most preferred cities for work by graduates are Bangalore, Kochi, and Chennai, while Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and West Bengal were found to be the top recruiting cities.
Additionally, B.Tech and MBA program students are recorded to be at the top of the employability graph. The domain which has graduates includes IT/ITES, Pharmaceutical, E-Commerce and, BFSI.

Referring to the India Skills Report 2022, Nirmal Singh, Founder & CEO, Wheebox said, “The pandemic has shown us that remote learning and remote work, are going to become the new normal for many sectors across IT, Business Consultancy, Financial Services, and very specifically one industry-leading the game, the Education Industry".
