BITSoM Mumbai Awards MBA Degrees to 137 Students at Convocation Ceremony

New Delhi: BITS School of Management (BITSoM), Mumbai organised the MBA graduation ceremony for the class of 2021-23, in which a total of 137 students obtained their MBA degrees. The ceremony was held in Mumbai's NCPA campus.

As per BITSoM, the event was attended by more than 600 individuals, comprising MBA students, their families and MBA course professors. Uday Kotak, Chief Executive and Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank was appointed as the special guest.

Mangalam Birla, Chancellor of BITS Pilani expressed his congratulations to the teachers, the very first class of MBA students, and their loved ones. He shared, "Taking the long view, consider payoffs longitudinally over time”.

“As a motivated, aspiring young person, I am aware it isn't always simple in the heat of the moment, but trust me, it helps. Great leaders are aware that groundbreaking discoveries need a lot of time and persistence,” he continued.

Additionally, he exhorted each student to form a group of companions. Following this, Kotak praised Birla's efforts to prepare India's youth for the decades to come and offered his best wishes to the kids. 

He said, "Professionals struggle if they can't be entrepreneurial enough, and entrepreneurs suffer if they are not professional enough." After which, Birla, Kotak, Vice Chancellor V Ramgopal Rao, and other dignitaries led the graduating cohort in a formal march before conferring certificates to the graduates. 

Earlier, BITSoM successfully concluded its campus placements for the MBA batch of 2021-23 with the highest salary package at INR 50.10 LPA. Students who joined the placement drive were offered with average salary package of INR 23.85 LPA.

Following the BITSoM Placements 2023 Report, the top 10% of students were offered an average salary package of INR 37.02 LPA, the top 30% of students received an average salary of INR 30.42 LPA and the average salary for top 50% of students stood at INR 28.17 LPA.
