New Delhi: BHU has announced to conduct its semester-end exams in both online and offline mode. The university released a notification in this regard.
According to the BHU notification, the students will be given an opportunity to choose from either an online or offline mode to appear for the BHU Semester Exams 2022.
Candidates opting for the online mode will have to write their semester exams via the Open Book Exam (OBE) format.
After a gap of almost two years, the varsity reopened its campus for students. The students of the second year of all the courses and first year of many courses returned to attend physical mode of classes.
However, the hostel allotment process is still underway which is being done based on double occupancy. It should be noted that the classes for the final year students and the PhD scholars had already started.
Earlier, on February 9, BHU had reopened various institutes/faculties/departments/ offices/units to work with full capacity.
All the teachers, officers and employees were directed to be 100 percent present at their workplace on a regular basis and everyone was informed to strictly follow the COVID-friendly behavior.
The university took the decision of reopening its campus for the students after the UGC had directed universities and colleges to reopen, keeping in mind their region’s Covid situation, and conduct physical mode of classes and examinations either offline or blended (mix of online and offline) mode.
Students who returned to the BHU campus to attend the offline classes were enthralled and excited as they had been to the campus only once or twice.
About BHU MA in Hindu Studies
Earlier, last month, the university launched a first-of-its-kind postgraduate program, MA in Hindu Studies in accordance with NEP 2020.
With the launch of the MA course, the university has planned to intake a total of 45 students for admissions into the first batch. Out of the total enrolled students, one foreign student has registered for the program.
