Auckland University of Technology signs MOU with IIT Hyderabad for Joint Research

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-Hyderabad) and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate and enhance cooperation between AUT and IITH through joint research in fields of interest to both institutions.

Professor Guy Littlefair, the Pro Vice Chancellor for International Affairs and Dean of Design and Creative Technologies at AUT, gave a speech at the signing ceremony in Hyderabad. He said, "I have had a personal connection with IIT Hyderabad since 2014, and this partnership will provide wonderful opportunities for students on both sides as well as faculty to collaborate on research platforms. We raised the bar for our shared objectives to create the most powerful strategic alliances by signing a new MOU today. Being associated for so long is an honour and a joy, and I look forward to generating important results from our ties.

AUT and IITH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation and commitment to share the goal of strengthening both universities on a worldwide network partnership, which was endorsed by Professor Tarun K. Panda, Dean of International Relations at IIT Hydearabad. I hope that this MoU will help to promote and introduce its faculty, students, and members to the reality of worldwide practises, giving them a future platform and facilitating information exchange between the two organisations.

Professor Guy Littlefair, the PVCI of AUT, recently paid a second visit to the campus of IIT Madras to check on the status of the MOU that was signed in 2020 with IITM and to develop strategies for moving this cooperation further. IIT Madras students were overjoyed to speak with Professor Guy and learn about PHD and post doctoral options accessible at a global level.
