Amalthea, the annual technological summit led by students of IIT-Gandhinagar with the central theme ‘Connect, Collaborate, Create’ is being held virtually these days.
The main aim of this 11th technical summit of IIT-Gandhinagar is to Connect our hearts, Collaborate our attempts, and create an incredible Amalthea during the global crisis of pandemic covid-19.
Around 2000 registrations have been notified in different online events/contests, webinars, and workshops by prestigious national and international institutes till date.

Event started with industry leaders like Dr William D Oliver, Director at MIT Quantum Engineering Centre, Padma Bhushan Dr Arvind Panagariye, and first vice-president of NITI Aayog, and Ms Mathangi Sri, Data Science Leader, and Mr Srinivas Mohan VFX supervisor for 2 films, the webinar kept fascinating for both crowd and coordinators.
With high levels of excitement, Amalthea 2020-21 hosted other events such as CryptoRush, which marks the second most significant mock trading event in the world.

The Summit took place on the Roostoo App in partnership with WazirX and people directly participated in the stock market directly influenced by real-time market price of various cryptocurrencies. It obtained about 100 games entries all over the world including participants from Europe, US, Canada, HongKong and the Middle East.

Candidates developed games on a variety of issues including social distancing from pandemic affected areas, cyberpunk surfers, planting and construction to save the planet from Covid, playing a hero of mankind by finding the fix of Covid among others.
Amalthea was introduced by IIT-G in 2013 with a vision to bridge the gap between both academia and industry, by creating a common platform to collaborate, interact, and explore the future of technology.
