Allahabad University to Hike Annual Fees for All Courses; Check Detailed Fee Structure Here


New Delhi: Allahabad University has announced the hike in annual fees in all courses. The current annual fees would be Rs 4,151 per year or Rs 333 per month.

At present, 11 colleges are operating under Allahabad University which offers full-time courses at UG, PG, Diploma and Doctorate levels in the domain of Science, Humanities & Social Science, Accounting & Commerce, Law, Business & Management Studies, IT & Software, Design, Engineering, Teaching & Education, and so on.

For the last several decades, the annual fees for Allahabad University was Rs 975 which comes to Rs 81 per month. There has been almost a three hundred percent increase in fees. 

There are students from low-income families that rely on government-run universities as private universities are often out of their budgets. This increase in fees has led to various protests among students for a month now. 

Defending the university's decision to increase fees, Allahabad University VC Sangita Srivastava had on Wednesday said the students’ complaint was "misdirected". 

Two days after the Allahabad University VC’s message, the university has now shared 6 facts and said “certain facts that have not been discussed about fee hike must be known to students in particular and public in general”.
