AIIMS Jodhpur Collaborate With IIT Jodhpur to Offer Joint

New Delhi: AIIMS Jodhpur has joined hands with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur to Jointly offer Masters, PhD and Masters-PhD Dual Degree Programs in Medical Technologies for the academic semester of July 2023-24.

The applications are sought from highly motivated individuals with a demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary research, innovation, and the capacity to advance it to establish startups and businesses in the healthcare industry.

IIT Jodhpur and AIIMS Jodhpur have designed these joint courses to give doctors and engineers a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and invention.

Along with supporting the creation of homegrown medical equipment and systems through the process of incubation and entrepreneurship. This underlying structure of the programme was intended to be open and developed over the time to bring together the skill sets of technologists and medical professionals.

This will also develop a special collaborative platform that connects technology and medicine with entrepreneurship, allowing the participants to go through the entire idea to realise the cycle of healthcare innovations, devices, and systems.

AIIMS Jodhpur & IIT Jodhpur Joint Program Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to get admission into the joint Master's or PhD programme conducted by AIIMS Jodhpur and IIT Jodhpur must possess at least one of the qualifications to be eligible.

For Master’s and Master’s-PhD Dual Degree Programs

  • Applicants must hold a Medical degree (MBBS/BDS) with at least of 55% of the aggregate marks for GEN/ GEN-EWS /OBC in the main examinations (50 % for SC/ST/PwD)
  • Or the candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum four-year duration in either engineering or science or pharmacy or nursing or equivalent discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or at least 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for GEN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
  • The SC/ST/PwD candidates will have the relaxation in the qualifying degree marks according to the MHRD rules.

For PhD Program (Regular)

  • A candidate with Master of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine, or Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations (DNB) degree with 55% in Bachelor’s degree for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC (50 % for SC/ST/PwD) is eligible Or
  • An applicant with a Master’s degree in engineering, pharmacy, Nursing, science, BDS with MDS, BPTh with MPTh, BOTh with MOTh or equivalent degree with 60% marks or at least 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for GEN/GEN- EWS/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PwD) is eligible. 

AIIMS Jodhpur & IIT Jodhpur Joint Program Admission 2023: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal @www.iitj.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the registration window and register yourself by filling all the required details.

Step 3: Now, it will redirect you to the login page, where you should key in your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the requisite application fee and preview the application form before submitting it.

Step 5: Now, submit the form and take a print out for all your future references.

Interested and eligible candidates are required to pay the processing fee of INR 300 for Unreserved, GEN-EWS and OBC applicants whereas candidates from SC, and ST category must pay INR 150. However, there is no application fee for women and PwD applicants while submitting the application form.
