New Delhi: Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, have partnered by signing an MoU for integrated research in the field of Rheumatology and Neurology.
As a part of the agreement, the partnership between AIIA and Indraprastha Apollo Hospital will also foster academic programs specifically in the short term clinical.
The institute announced its partnership with the hospital, via a tweet from its social media account.
In its tweet, the AIIA mentioned that it has signed a landmark agreement with the hospital on February 02, 2022, for facilitating integrated research in strength areas like Neurology, Rheumatology and that the partnership will also foster academic programs especially in short term clinical.

Another tweet mentioned the engagements of postgraduate & resident scholars from both institutions and that the MoU was signed by Dr Tanuja Nesari, Director AIIA, New Delhi and Dr. Anupam Sibal, Director & Head Medical Group Apollo in the presence of Prof. Sujata Kadam, Dean AIIA and other senior consultants from both the Institutions.

With the assistance from the Ministry of Ayush, the institute, recently, developed an AYURAKSHA Kit, which has been listed by Jan Aushadhi Kendra under Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana.
Launched during National Ayurveda Day on November 02, by Sarbananda Sonowal, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Ayush, the Ayuraksha kit consists of a set of ayurvedic medicines specifically developed and made to boost the immunity of adults against the novel Covid-19 virus.
Moreover, the AIIA has introduced an immunity improving kit against Covid-19 for kids, which is named as BalRaksha Kit, developed with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH.
Currently, the government aims in promoting cost-effective natural health services such as Yoga and Naturopathy, for which the Ministry of Ayush has received an allocation of INR 3,050 crore in the Union Budget 2022.
