AICTE Partners with Khadi Industries to Train BTech, MTech Students in Entrepreneurial Skills


New Delhi: AICTE has partnered with Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) with an aim to train students of BTech and MTech and impart entrepreneurial skills. 

With an aim to provide the undergraduate and postgraduate students with internship opportunities and build entrepreneurial skills, the AICTE has associated with Khadi institutions. 

Interested students pursuing B.Tech or M.Tech can get in touch with KVIC state or divisional offices for internship opportunities. The selected students will get to work across different departments of their interest. 

According to the official AICTE statement, the internship opportunities with KVIC will also be uploaded on AICTE internship portal. All the eligible students will receive a stipend of INR 5000/ month under the internship programme. 

Khadi and Village Industries Commission, KVIC is planning to roll out a scholarship programme for undergraduate and postgraduate students to undertake research projects on its multiple schemes.

Expressing his happiness in partnering with KVIC, Professor Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, said that the partnership with KVIC would benefit the AICTE students. KVIC draws inspiration from Gandhi Ji and considering the idea of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the country shall become Atmanirbhar in true sense when all the villages, talukas, districts, and states become self-reliant.

He said that in today's scenario, the country is a giant in the ITES industry and the time has arrived to ensure how the council can help villages through ITES and make them more self-reliant and promote entrepreneurship.

Delighted about the association, Shri. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chairman, KVIC, said that the internship programme will assist students gain valuable experience through challenging projects and students can connect with KVIC through its various platforms. 

He urged all the faculty members and the students to work towards the upliftment of the country through the multiple schemes that KVIC operates across the country. 

Speaking about the challenging initiatives taken by KVIC, Saxena urged the students to not to think too much about being job takers but believe in becoming job givers through their entrepreneurial skills. 

Explaining the internship process, Mr. Saxena said that students interested in the internship can reach out to KVIC State/ Divisional offices in different cities for internship opportunities.

KVIC is offering a project for internship for all the students, with the help of which, students can gain access to different departments of KVIC, either in marketing or manufacturing as per their interest. The participants will be paid a stipend of INR 5000/month during the internship period. 

He concluded saying that KVIC has also planned to launch a scholarship programme for research scholars who would work on different projects and schemes of KVIC.
