AICTE Launches GDC Software Engineering Fellowship; Details Here


The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has collaborated with Pupilfirstorg, and has launched the GDC Software Engineering Fellowship. 

In order to recognize 40 Indian bright software engineering students for an industry-led training-cum-internship programme, the AICTE has introduced the GDC engineering fellowship. 

Upon the successful completion of the training, students will get an opportunity to do a semester-long remote internship with the CoronaSafe/eGov Foundation to contribute open source code to develop this global digital public good.

GDC Software Engineering Fellowship: Eligibility Criteria 

Interested candidates can go through the following eligibility criteria before applying for the GDC software engineering fellowship. 

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses from a renowned education institute. 
  • Candidates must be within the age group between 18 and 25 years. 
  • Candidates must have prior knowledge in coding either for personal projects or college projects.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of any programming language, preferably Python. Prior experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript is also prefered but it's not mandatory.

The participants will learn the fundamentals of the web along with Python, Django, React and Typescript in the course. The course has been designed to be hands-on with milestone targets at each level. 

In order to promote gender balance in the advanced training programme, ten scholarships are reserved for female candidates. The AICTE will issue the National Fellowship Certificate for graduates after completion of the programme.

GDC Software Engineering Fellowship: How to Apply? 

Interested candidates can apply online at fullstack.gdc.network till December 26, 2021. The training programme will commence on January 7, 2022 and conclude on April 8, 2022. 

Since the admissions are based on rolling the application window will close earlier if the seats are filled for the batch.
