- The Bachelor's degree in history at the University of Kassel is designed as a combined bachelor's degree: history is studied as a major with a selectable minor. This structure enables a broad overview of all epochs in European history. Students acquire extensive basic knowledge and diverse methodological skills.
- In the modules of the basic course, the students deal with antiquity, the Middle Ages and modern times - in Europe and beyond. Students will learn to differentiate, analyze, critically reflect, evaluate, interpret and present the most important source categories.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
For this course, students need one of the following degrees or certificates:
- General University Entrance Qualification
- Professional qualification (studying without a high school diploma)
- TestDaf: Level 4 in all sub-exams
- Goethe certificate: level C2 in all module parts
- Telc German: C1 university
- German language diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Education: DSD II with continuous level C1 in all areas
- German language test for university admission (DSH) at a registered university: The DSH is divided into three stages. The DSH-2 is required to start studying. There is an exception for the artistic courses (visual arts, visual communication, and product design). Only DSH-1 is required for this: Proof of language proficiency for admission to study at the art college.
