Tuition Fees
The University of Greifswald does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 82 USD per semester as Semester contribution and 107 USD once as enrolment fee.
The master's program in Biodiversity & Ecology is open to all qualified graduates of life sciences courses. During the course, specialist knowledge from the areas of ecology, biodiversity, evolution, morphology, nature conservation, behavior, microbiology, and physiology is imparted in the form of freely selectable modules. Special emphasis is placed on methodological and conceptual aspects.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A first university degree (usually a bachelor's degree) in one of the following courses is required: biology, life sciences, landscape ecology, and nature conservation, environmental sciences, landscape ecology or biodiversity and ecology.
- Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
