The course is research-oriented and serves to deepen scientific and application-related qualifications. Students will be taught the use of chemical-analytical, physiological-biochemical, molecular-biological, biophysical and biostatistical methods for the investigation and discussion of molecular-ecological questions. Objects of investigation are prokaryotes, fungi, higher plants, arthropods and vertebrates in terrestrial and aquatic (freshwater) ecosystems, but also genetically modified organisms (e.g. transgenic plants.

Tuition Fees

There are no tuition fees but students have to pay 110 euros per semester to cover student services and a semester bus pass.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Student required a Bachelor's degree in biology or biochemistry (with at least one compulsory elective module in biology) from the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree.
The German language is required.
