Economics (VWL) is a sub-discipline of economics (WiWi). Economics tries to understand how decisions in companies, households and politics come about, how the interaction of these economic agents works in a market economy and what effects economic policy decisions have on the functioning of economies.
In Osnabrück, students can choose to study economics with an empirical focus. The students are taught a wide range of empirical and application-oriented methods in economics and their use with the help of relevant software.
