WBJEE Marks vs Rank 2023: WBJEE 2023 is going to be conducted on April 30, 2023 for admission to Undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture. WBJEE Marks Vs Rank will help the students in understanding the scores that they should ideally attempt to achieve to secure the rank for qualifying for the exam. Only candidates who secure a rank in WBJEE 2023 will be eligible for counselling and seat allotment in the participating colleges. 

Two Separate Merit List will be prepared by WBJEEB- General Merit List (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit List. Candidates who appeared in both Paper I as well as Paper II will be ranked in the General Merit List while candidates who appeared only in Paper-II will be ranked in the Pharmacy Merit Rank. Candidates who appeared only in Paper I will not be eligible for any rank. WBJEE Marking Scheme

As per WBJEE Exam Pattern, candidates will be awarded marks in WBJEE based on the marking scheme provided below:

  • WBJEE Question Paper will comprise of three types of questions- Category I, Category II and Category III.
  • In Category I, each question will carry 1 mark while 1 mark will be deducted for 4 incorrect answers.
  • In Category II, each question will carry 2 mark while 1 mark will be deducted for 2 incorrect answers.
  • In Category III, each question will carry 2 marks. However, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
