Ques. How is EEE at NIT Calicut?

● Top Answer By Topoja Mitra on 22 Mar 21

Ans. One of my friends pursued his undergraduate studies at NIT Calicut. I will try to give an insight into the EEE department at NIT Calicut based on the things I heard from my friend.  Student Crowd: NIT Calicut has an approximate 50% home state selection policy. So, almost half of the student base is from Kerala. Other than that, there is a major portion of the other half from Telegu states and some from Northern India. So, very few students are from other South Indian and East Indian states. Faculty: Most professors are extremely strict in class, attendance, and evaluation.  Most professors of EEE have good teaching capabilities and conceptual knowledge. There is information about faculties and their experiences on the college website. Laboratories: The labs in the electrical engineering department are quite decent, and up to the required standard, with some faulty machines too. Overall, the EEE department at NIT Calicut can be considered a branch with enough resources and strict discipline.Read more

Ques. What is better, EI at Manipal or EEE in NIT Goa?

● Top Answer By Pratiti Bose on 21 Aug 21

Ans. If the arrangement for the fee which is charged by MIT would not be a problem for you then It is suggested that you opt for admission in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at MIT Manipal. Having some friends studying there I can say that there are many things that make MIT Manipal stand out. Some of the good things about MIT Manipal which makes it a better option include the following: The rank of MIT in the NIRF rankings is much higher than that of NIT Goa. MIT Manipal offers better campus facilities and opportunities as NIT Goa is a relatively newer college. Some of the well-known firms from the domain of electronics and other core branches recruit students of MIT Manipal. Even if they are not in large numbers, they are more than other institutions where just one or two key companies from the electronics field visit to recruit candidates. I am not familiar with the faculty of EEE at NIT Goa, but at MIT the EI department faculty is excellent. Categories EI at MIT Manipal Course Fee 13.10 lakhs Placement Percentage 80% Highest CTC 15 LPA Average CTC 7.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Cisco, ICICI Bank, Mu Sigma, Deloitte, etc. Summer internships are available at companies like Western Digital and Reliance for students in their fifth or sixth semester. If you get an internship through campus recruitment, you may be able to convert it to PPO if you do well during the tenure of your internship.Read more

Ques. How is LNCT Bhopal for EEE?

● Top Answer By Chitra Reddy on 28 Sept 21

Ans. If you are considering doing an EEE from anywhere in Bhopal, please reconsider. Be it LNCT or OIST or RGPV, none of them provide you with good opportunities that you may push your career forward. The syllabus of EEE is very vast and hard to grasp. It is considered one of the toughest branches. One of my friends opted for it and she thinks that it was a big mistake. Getting good grades with just an average amount of studies sounds like a dream because if you are not willing to work hard, this branch is not for you.  Most of the students like my friend accepted a career outside of their branch. Though it is somewhat disheartening for EEE students to get jobs in their core fields, even after investing 4 years in them. Most of them ended up in corporate houses or IT firms, doing technical jobs.Read more

Ques. Which is better- IEM in Ms. Ramaiah or EEE in Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering?

● Top Answer By Sushmita Raj on 17 Sept 21

Ans. After doing some research online, I would suggest not to go for IEM at Ramaiah, until and unless you are extremely interested in studying that particular subject. Since it will not pay you anything and you will eventually wind up in the same category of mass placement at one of the service-based companies.  Double-check the topics you will be studying. EEE is usually less exposed than IEM, yet EEE is regarded as the most complex branch to be studied.  The majority of EEE / ECE / other branches receive job offers from Infosys, HCL, Accenture, or Tech Mahindra. Parameters IEM at Ms. Ramaiah EEE at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering Tuition Fees INR 3.47 lakh  INR 10 lakh Placement Percentage 95% 70% Highest Package 13 LPA 15 LPA Average Package 7.6 LPA INR 8 LPA So, what is the point of learning core Electronics if all you have to do at the conclusion of your engineering degree is code? If you want to build a career, think seriously about the branch you select. Regardless of the institution you attend, I believe EEE is far superior to IEM. Pursue EEE only if you are truly passionate about the subject.Read more

Ques. What should I choose: Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani Goa Campus, Electrical and Electronics in NIT Surathkal?

● Top Answer By Ankit Chaudhari on 21 Mar 23

Ans. To make an informed decision, it's crucial to understand that changing your choice based on the college you get into won't have much impact. You should acknowledge that Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani Goa Campus and Electrical and Electronics in NIT Surathkal are two distinct engineering streams with different colleges, and both colleges are excellent in their own right. Your selection of the branch should entirely depend on your interest. If you are intrigued by electrical or electronic circuits or have been fascinated by electricity since childhood, EEE is the perfect fit for you. Conversely, if you have an interest in instruments or daily life gadgets that make our lives more comfortable, you should opt for E&I. Keep in mind that EEE focuses on circuit design and development, while E&I focuses on circuit implementation in industries or the real world. EEE is a core branch that concentrates on its domain, but E&I combines all other core branches such as Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, and even Computer Science. Both EEE and E&I offer excellent job prospects in the market. E&I graduates can work in core fields or software industries. There is a plethora of industries related to electrical and electronics, so EEE also offers ample job opportunities. Therefore, both branches are exceptional in their way. Choose the one that piques your interest and don't sacrifice your area of interest due to college selection.Read more

Ans. You will find that both NIT TRICHY and BITS Goa are excellent colleges for EEE, and they can be rated on par based on the following parameters: Teaching quality Infrastructure Labs Campus Interviews Academic Rigour Hostels Technical and Cultural Festivals Campus Life Peer groups Mess food If you have a financial constraint, you may find it beneficial to join NIT TRICHY since their fees are less than half of BITS. Alternatively, if you value having a flexible timetable where you get to choose your own professors, or if you prefer the concept of zero attendance policy, BITS may be a better fit for you.
