Location Facts

4 campuses: Boston Health Sciences Campus, Boston Fenway Campus; Medford/Somerville Campus (main campus), Grafton Campus. The main campus is 5 miles from Boston, the others are also known as uphill and downhill campuses. 


Rochester metro area is easily navigable and campuses are a short drive from Greater Rochester International Airport. Considerablly closer to Toronto rather than New York City the university is located south of downtown Rochester at the bend of Genesee river.


Library

6 libraries on 3 campuses; Books available from 19 academic areas; Over 38,000 electronic journals and databases; Digital collections available at Tufts Digital Collections & Archives. 


River Campus has 6 libraries with a collection of university archives, Eastman School of Music has nearly 750,000 holdings in scores, books and journals. Medical Center has 4 libraries featuring rare books and manuscripts from the medicine field and the Memorial Art Gallery has resources for K-12 teachers.


Campus Life

Over 300 student-run clubs and organizations; 25 cultural clubs; Debate and mock trials; Political groups; Publications such as Tufts Daily, Tufts Observer, and Traveler Magazine. Each year around 180 performances for music & arts take place on-campus each year. 21 sports clubs that compete in 28 varsity sports.   


Rochester’s tight knit campuses have 275 organizations and clubs, health care and counselling centers, URMC fitness center. Formal academic events in Rochester include Plutzik Reading Series, Studio Arts programs, Inspire Dance festival and International Theatre program. 23 varsity teams compete for the Liberty League and University Athletic association.

Located in Medford, Massachusetts is one of the 13 original states of USA; 7th smallest state in terms of the total area. Medford is located northwest of downtown Boston on Mystic river.
