The 420-acre  main campus is the centerpiece of Corvallis, Oregon. It is 83 miles south of Portland, near the middle of the state's Willamette Valley. The second campus is located at bend. 


The 46-acre campus is located on a hillside at the southern edge of downtown Tacoma, overlooking the Port of Tacoma and Mount Rainier. 


Library

The university library is home to the largest library collection in the Pacific Northwest with over 9 million books, journals, millions of microforms, thousands of maps, rare books, film, audio and video recordings. Student on-campus housing is offered at UW Tacoma's Court 17 Residence Hall. The University Y Student Center is a collaboration between the UW Tacoma and the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties. The Y is a 73,000 square foot facility that includes recreational and fitness spaces, an NCAA regulation gymnasium, cardio and weight training equipment, indoor track, and locker rooms. The facility is also a student center, which houses student organization space, programming and event spaces, as well as a student lounge and social spaces.

City Life

Tacoma, WA, is known for its world-renowned glass art, found at the Museum of Glass. The city has around 220,000 residents, making it one of the larger cities in Washington state. Public Transportation is pretty cheap. $1 per ride for ages 5–18, $2 for adults and back to $1 for seniors. The buses have multiple transit centers and you can get from one end of Tacoma to the other for less than $5 depending on the route and how many buses you take. There are tons of restaurants. Like, an insane amount.This place has Mexican food, Italian food, Indian food, Chinese food, Japanese food, Korean food, all different fast food, and everything in between, all on 6th ave. Literally just drive up 6th ave and you’ll find something you like.
