Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for admission:

B.Tech. Programme: Candidate seeking admission to the B. Tech. (Food Technology) course is regulated by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) through Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subject with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission.

Mode of selection and admission:

B.Tech. Food Technology: Admission to the B.Tech. (Food Technology) course is regulated by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) through Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM) and ICAR through the AIEEA-UG entrance examination.

Seat reservations:

80% of the total UG seats are filled from the list issued by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala. 15% seats are reserved for ICAR candidates and 5% seat for the backward Meghalaya tribes. Supernumerary to this there are two seats for students with diploma who will be directly admitted to the third semester.
