SSCA offers diploma and undergraduate level courses in two fields as tabulated below:

How to Apply?

The candidates are required to register themselves for the Eligibility Assessment Test conducted by SSCA. The application fee for the same is INR 1250.

SSCA Selection Criteria

  1. Each candidate will have to appear for a Proctored & Timed Test on the selected dates.
  2. The candidates will thereafter undergo a Personal Interview with the selection panel.
  3. The Merit List will be announced in 7 days from the selection process.
  4. Merit-listed candidates have to pay the fees as per Annexure 1 sent with Provisional Admission Letter to confirm admission and reserve their seat.

Eligibility

  • As per revised policy semester topper will be awarded scholarship based on academic excellence, a minimum GPA of 8.50.
  • Only those students will be eligible for the award of Merit Scholarship who have cleared the courses prescribed for the respective programme i.e. they should not have any backlog.
  • The student who has been awarded merit scholarship by the University shall not be debarred from stipend or any financial assistance from any other source. However, if the student is awarded any stipend or financial assistance from any other source, he/she shall communicate the same through the Institute to the office of Student Affairs, SIU.
  • There will be no income limit of the parents/guardians of the students for the grant of merit scholarship.
  • In case a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/freeship by the University, he/she shall be awarded only one scholarship/freeship as per his/her preference.

Selection

  • The award of merit scholarship for UG programmes shall be announced every year by the University.
  • If a student declines or cancels his admission, the scholarship amount will not be awarded to any other student but will be refunded by the institute to the University.
  • The scholarship amount will not be paid to a student. It will be transferred by the University directly to the Institute for the adjustment in academic fee. The cheque of the scholarship amount will be given to the student for the last semester of the program.

SSCA has a dedicated placement cell that provides students with appropriate training and placement opportunities. The batch of 2018 B.Sc (Culinary Arts) saw a successful placement season around 80% students got placed and in previous year around 75% students were offered placements at reputed organizations and businesses.

Ans. At SSCA, a student has to undergo two internships. The first is a six-month internship at the end of the first year of academics. The institute encourages students to pursue this six months’ internship in the operational departments of renowned hospitality organizations. The second internship is for a duration of six weeks during the third year of academics. The six weeks’ internship is more focused on learning managerial skills where a student shadows decision-makers and understands the intricacies of leading a department/organization etc. We encourage the students to pursue this internship in allied areas of the hospitality/ service sector.
