JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE), established in 1997, is primarily an engineering college located in Bangalore. JSSATE is managed by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.
JSSATE offers Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses in Engineering and Management. The institute offers a 4-year B.E./B.Tech course (intake of 120 students per branch) and 2- year M.Tech course (intake of 18 students per branch). The institute also offers a 2-year MBA degree.
- Candidates applying for B.Tech course must have passed Class 12th or any equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects either Chemistry or Biology or Electronics or Computer Science.
- They should have scored a minimum aggregate marks of 45% (40% for reserved category).

Candidates applying for the B.Tech course should have passed Class 12th or any equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects either Chemistry or Biology or Electronics or Computer Science and should have scored a minimum aggregate marks of 45% (40% for reserved category)
Admission to the B.Tech course is done on the basis of marks secured in KCET/COMEDK-UGET examinations. Candidates need to appear for these qualifying examinations and choose JSSATE as their institute of choice during the counselling. Verification of documents and offline counselling will be held for the shortlisted candidates later at the campus.

JSS Academy of Technical Education- Application Process 2023
Candidates can only apply through offline mode through forms that are available at the campus or at the website. After applying, shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling session that will be held at the campus.
- Candidates can obtain the application form and brochure from JSSATE office or even from VTU office.
- The filled in application form (with marks of qualifying examination) must then be submitted to the campus along with all the required documents.

Reservation Criteria
- In case of M.Tech., the general category seats remaining vacant after allotment to GATE candidates, 90% of the seats are reserved for Karnataka candidates and the remaining 10% for Non-Karnataka candidates.
- Reservation will be provided to Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, the Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
Scholarship
- GATE Stipend is available for candidates applying through their GATE marks.
- The Institute arranges for SC/ST/OBC Students to get the scholarship from Social Welfare Office/Minority Departments of the Government of Karnataka.
