Bangurnagar Degree College, Dandeli was established in 1974 under the auspices of Dandeli Education Society, the premier educational network of Dandeli, affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. The college is accredited by NAAC with four stars in 2000, it has been re-accredited at B++ level and also been nominated twice to the UGC by the Karnatak University, Dharwad, for the status of college with potential for excellence
