Dislike
- Another room of this industry, also named laboratory, clearly shows the bad status of practical learning.
- Nowadays, the number of students being recruited is declining due to bad infrastructure and average communication skills.
- Sometimes, it is at its peak with around 80% placement, while at other times, it is very poor with only 1 or 2 companies coming to our campus.
- The scholarship provided by the college is a half fee and full fee reduction for poor and meritorious students. No loans are provided by the college since it is a government college and tuition fees are very low.
- The menu is great, but the quality is not very good. Our hostel controller is not good; he takes our money from the fund.
- The lack of faculties, infrastructure problems, and lack of communication skills are the factors behind the diminishing of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Our course of B.Tech is very good in Jalpaiguri government engineering college is so good in my opinion. If any wbjee candidate want to admission to this college then they need to clear wbjee. And many students got placed in our college.
Remarks:
I am a student of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering college. I give WBJEE in 2020 and rank 29000. And I got an opportunity from the scheduled tribe category to study in cse department in the computer science and Engineering branch.
Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campusing and placement. Companies like Amazon, Tata Motors, Reliance Digital, etc. visited our college and offered us jobs as well. The average package was 3LPA and the highest package was 10LPA.
Remarks:
The student who has completed 10+2 with science (physics, chemistry & maths) is eligible for this course or who completed 3 years diploma after 10th or 12th is eligible for this course. Course Curriculum Overview:
I got selected for the CSE department.it is very difficult to select in the CSE department. because only the ranked student got selected in the CSE. the teaching method is very good. they have greatly experienced
Remarks:
I passed in wbjee exam and ranked 3286. then I got selected for the Jalpaiguri government engineering college. there were no reservation benefits. the total admission process is very good. if they can send the mail to the candidate about this selection process then it would be beneficial as well as it will help the candidate with the updated result
Placement Experience:
The average placement at our college increased rapidly in the last few years. 5-6 years ago the average placement was 5lpa but as of now, it's almost 9lpa which shows the increment level of enthusiasm and hard work by both students and authorities. The students are allowed to seat in the campus placement for 6 semesters. Various big companies like Amazon, Media .NET, Goldman Sachs, Netmeds, and many more companies visited our campus last year. And for core, companies like Tata Power, Haldia Petrochemicals, L&T, Adani Group, and many more companies visited last year. Around 95 percent of the students got placed last year with the highest package of 48lpa (Microsoft).
Remarks:
To get into any government college in west Bengal a student must be west Bengal domiciled. Students have to clear West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination with a rank up to 6k to get into my college for the General category and 10k rank for OBC,15k rank for SC, and 25k rank for ST. The application form registration starts in December and the application fee is 500 rupees for general students. And 400 rupees for OBC SC and ST candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have an interest in knowing how computers work so I chose this course. in my college ratio of faculty and student is 1:50 the teaching method is too advanced, all of the students are qualified in our course. term exams are not too difficult.
Remarks:
Eligibility if the course is wbjee entrance exam. The application form find on google, and the application fee is 1250 for general and 500 for others. applications date is in February. eligibility of the course is a good rank in wbjee.
Placement Experience:
From the third semester, students can apply for internships. many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, cognizant, and Ericsson visited our college. 86% of students placed in these companies. our average package is 9 lakh per annum.
Remarks:
First of all, I prepared for the west Bengal joint entrance examination. Then I obtained a 2272 rank. After that, I got the opportunity to study in the information Technology department at Jalpaiguri government engineering college.
Placement Experience:
Only 4th year (7 th semester) students are eligible for campus placement. Microsoft, TCS, cognizant, Ericsson, Amazon, l and t, and all start are visited our campus. The highest package is 44 LPA and the average package is 8lpa.
Remarks:
After a higher secondary exam and Wbjee examination, need 3500 GMR and 7500 sc rank. On the JGEC official website, you can find all the information. If you are an sc, St, PWD all reservations are accepted in this college.
Placement Experience:
Mainly for the 7th-semester students who are eligible for campus placements. But 5th-semester students are eligible for on-campus internships. Names of such companies are Amazon, Juspay, Media.net, Tcs, campagie mini, cognizant, etc. The highest package is between 15-20 lakhs per year.
Remarks:
If you want to study in our college then you have to clear the west Bengal joint entrance exam which was conducted by the WBJEE board every year. The application fee is Rs. 750 /- for the general category and half for the reserved category and girls. You can apply for this exam in the month of December and the exam will conduct in the month of April.
Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester(4 this year) you are eligible for campus placements. Microsoft, Cognizant, TCS, Ericson's, media.net, etc. companies are visited. Last year's highest package was 44 LPA and the average package was 8 LPA. in the IT department, 90% of students are placed.
Remarks:
After West Bengal, Joint Entrance Examination needs a near 3500 GMR rank or 7500 SC rank, This is the eligibility of the JGEC Information Technology Department. On the JGEC official website, you find all the details. On the WBJEE website, you find reservation Details. Nothing, All processes are very smooth.

The faculty member a quite good. They are supportive. For core, branch faculty are highly qualified and talented. Faculty looks after each student and how they are studying and support them. The semester exams are conducted after 6 months.
Remarks:
First of all, you have to appear for the Wbjee exam which is conducted by the west Bengal all government engineering college. if you achieve a good rank then you will this college and a good branch. For general students, you have to get a rank of around 3000.
