Established in 1943, B. Borooah College is one of the earliest and prestigious co-educational colleges situated in Guwahati in the state of Assam, which was named after the most respected and prominent person of Assamese business Bholanath Borooah. This college grew under the circumstances of World War II. With the support of B. Borooah College Teacher’s Unit (BBCTU) which is a constituent unit of Assam College Teachers Unit (ACTU) the college has been carrying out various plans and programmes for the welfare and overall progress and development of the college and students as well. The college offers various courses from Arts and Science stream to the students. B. Borooah College is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC, funded by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with Guwahati University. It offers undergraduate courses such as B.A., B.Sc., B.B.A. and postgraduate courses such as M.Sc.

B. Borooah College Admission

  • Students need to visit the official website of the college (http://www.bborooahcollege.ac.in/) to apply for the course they are interested in.
  • They need to fill-up the form along with necessary details, scanned copies of photo and signature along with payment of registration fee online.
  • Selected candidates then need to proceed towards admission that shall be held online as well. For that they need to generate their Unique ID from the Office Web  Portal (http://dheonlineadmission.amtron.in/sp/) that is developed by the Director of Higher Education Assam.
