IMI Kolkata MBA Admission 2024: Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Selection Criteria

Latest Update: IMI Kolkata is inviting applications for PGDM Program and the last date to apply is December 17, 2023. CAT 2023 Admit Card will be released on November 7, 2023 and the exam is scheduled for November 26, 2023. XAT 2024 registration has begun, and the last date to apply is November 30, 2023, and the exam is scheduled for January 7, 2024.

IMI Kolkata offers admission to a full-time flagship MBA program based on the qualified score achieved in CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT score. As per the admission policy of IMI Kolkata for MBA Admission, the institute considers a valid ATMA score. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for WAT & PI session conducted by the institute. The final selection process includes a qualified entrance score, past academic records, and performance in WAT & PI rounds. 

For admission to MBA, IMI Kolkata has set a minimum of 35% weightage to the Entrance Test for the shortlisted candidates. 30% of weightage has been granted to WAT & PI round. Academic Score has a weightage of 15% and Work Experience has a weightage of 5%. The other components are academic profile, academic diversity & quality of work experience.

IMI Kolkata MBA Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates must have a Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university. 
• Applicants are required to have a track academic record for 50% marks in the past academic qualification. 
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, by providing proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2022, failing which the candidates may be asked to withdraw from the program.

• IMI Kolkata considers valid marks obtained in the CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT for admission to the MBA program. 
• Only for MBA Batch, IMI Kolkata accepts qualified ATMA scores.

IMI Kolkata MBA Selection Process 

IMI Kolkata offers an MBA program for self-sponsored candidates along with company-sponsored students. 

• Company-sponsored candidates are selected on the basis of their application, work experience, and personal interview. 
• These candidates must submit a letter from the sponsoring organization to pay all fees and dues from time to time, during the complete duration of the program. 
• This letter will be required at the Personal Interview stage. Company-sponsored candidates will not be eligible for receiving any placement assistance from the Institute’s Placement Cell.

• Complete the registration first by entering your name, email id and other details asked.

IMI Kolkata MBA Course Details 

IMI Kolkata offers a two-year, full-time MBA program to prepare students to incorporate across all functional areas. The first year of the course is focused on developing essential skills and knowledge in the areas of economics, organization and behavior, finance and accounting, management control, marketing, human resource management, information systems, and quantitative methods. 

At the end of the first year, students undertake summer internships with Institute’s partners for a period of eight to nine weeks. This helps them to gain experience in the application of management concepts and functional skills. The Summer Internship is a six-credit course that is evaluated on the basis of Report, Presentation, and Viva. It is compulsory for every student to successfully complete the summer internship.
