Established in June 1970, Arts and Commerce College, Madha came into existence with the intension to provide better education to the socio- economically downtrodden students around Madha and nearby villages. Due to the efforts of many well wishers and  their contributions, the college has now achieved substantial growth and development to cater the needs of higher education in the field of Arts and Commerce. The college is now well established with almost all facilities such as class rooms, Gymkhana, administrative building, well equipped and spacious laboratories wiith  audio-visual aids, Women hostel, Guest house, separate computer lab, library with  adequate books and journals. The college has been accredited with “B” grade  by NAAC Bangalore on 16thSept.2004.

Earn and Learn Scheme :-

The “ Earn and Learn scheme” was the product of Padma Bhushan Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Education Phylosophy. Needy students may earn by working for couple of hours while learning. The college accommodates the needy and poor student under this scheme.

Scholarships :

  • National Govt. Scholarship for S.C., N.T., O.B.C., S.B.C. & S.T.

For  XIth to B.A./B.Com  all reserved categories students whose parent’s income is below  Rs. 1,00,000/-.

  • National Merit Scholarship

For students from Sr. & Jr. College securing more than 75% marks.

  • National Merit Scholarship for Hindi

For students from Sr. & Jr. College securing more than 60% marks and taken Hindi subject for degree level.

  • Scholarship for Handicap

For the student for Sr. & Jr. College having more than  40% handicap certificate from Civil Surgeon and whose parent’s income is less than Rs.24,000/-. 

  • Chh. Shahu Scholarship  S.C., N.T. & S.B.C.( For Jr. College only)

For the students from Jr. College who secured more than 75% mark in S.S.C. Exam.

  • Scholarship for Minority Students

From the students from Minority categories having more than 50% marks whose parents income is less than Rs.2,00,000/-.
