It's very good college and also the surrounding are very good
Placement Process is really good , most of eligible students are placed.
The likable part of our college is that it is in the city so you can explore the city and there will be no problem in transportation.
The faculty and course coordinators was very good with proper guidance.and their is no ragging in this college.
Every now and then fest happen in our college which is pretty cool

Dislike

Also there is lot of traffic around the college which is very annoying
There is bad traffic at the peak times in working days
I didn't like the ground , because it was very small.
Size of the Campus is small and there are no cricket grounds.
Mainly I didn't like the hostels bcoz they were very expensive and not upto the mark

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose B.E IN CSE bcoz I was more interested in maths, so I took CSE. There are many faculties in our college and almost all of them did M.TECH and few of them also Did Ph.D. from good colleges. But when it comes to teaching it's not so great. they teach up to a certain extent you can't completely depend on them for exams. The exams(internals) are conducted almost every month which sucks and sem exams will be conducted once in 5 months.

Because in this Kumaraswamy layout campus, cse students will get every year good placements, and computer is my favorite so I took cse, faculty of cse is around 50 professors, and students are around 250 most of the faculty are ph.d people. exams are a little hard to pass as the faculty is a little strict about exams.

This is a very new course that has very wide opportunities and the faculties are also very experienced and the exams were quite easy it contains three internals for a sem and finally sem end exams

My college comes under vtu. It has a very hectic and old-fashioned curriculum. But My college is autonomous so there is relaxation in the syllabus. Faculties are average. Teaching methods are traditional. But overall good experience.

One of my friends recently graduated from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE). Here is what she had to say about the CSE placement at the institute. The institute is autonomous, and the quality of education, assignments, and projects has been improved over the years. The placements for the CSE branch are promising. All the companies allow CSE students to sit for campus placement. Recently, JP Morgan came to the campus in the sixth semester and offered packages of around INR 6 LPA. Therefore, placement would not be a problem. All the students across all branches get placed in at least one company. Most students get placed in Accenture, Infosys, HPE, Continental Automotive, Moog, EY, UHG, Dell, JP Morgan, Oracle, Tally, Cognizant, and more. All of these have recruited CSE students in the past. I will advise you to talk to seniors, before joining the institute, to have a clear picture....Read more

Ques. Which one should I choose, Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering ISE or New Horizon College of engineering CSE?

According to the 2021 WBJEE cutoff, the required cutoff for CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology is 3434 (general). So, it will be difficult to get admission in CSE with your rank. As an alternative, you can go for IT at Heritage. It offers similar career prospects as the CSE branch. With 4.5k rank, you can also try for KGEC EE/JGEC CSE/GCECT CSE/GCELT CSE/IEM IT/ GCETTS CSE. At this rank in case, if you are getting a Govt. college don’t go for it as there is a very low chance of placements....Read more

Out of these two, Dayanand Sagar is definitely a better choice because it is an autonomous institute. However, you will encounter multiple distractions on the campus and it is advisable to be cognizant and not to neglect studies. Dayanand Sagar has a good reputation in terms of co-curricular activities. One of my friends, who got RNSIT in the first round, waited and later opted for DSCE in 2nd round.
