Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good. Some of The faculties are very enthusiastic about their work however some are quite lazy. Every faculty is knowledgeable. Very few faculties put pressure on you for attendance and all will be happy if you learn something even other than curriculum.

Ques. Should I join IET DAVV Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering?

● Top Answer By Anisha Ganguly on 21 Sept 22

IET DAVV offers a good Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering program. Almost 90% of the students from the branch get placed through the campus drive. Salary packages offered are in the range of INR 3.5 LPA to INR 8 LPA. The core companies visiting are less in number. But many IT companies recruit through the campus drive, such as VMware, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. If you are planning on preparing for GATE, it is a good option. The syllabus is easy. IET also doesn’t have strict attendance rules. So, you will get ample time for preparation....Read more

Ques. Which is better, taking EI in SGSITS or E&TC in IET-DAVV?

● Top Answer By Sukalyan Majhi on 30 Mar 21

Some of the facts are listed below to help you understand which one is better in taking admission. SGSITS has its brand name. No one even knows about the institute about IET-DAVV; generally, the students who are staying outside of Madhya Pradesh. There are not enough differences in the syllabus of these two institutes. And for this reason, you have to study yourself to perform better. If you want to pursue higher studies, then seats are limited in the good colleges for instrumentation. For this reason, the candidate number is also less. Thus, you have a preference to alter your stream for higher studies. One of my friends has told me that many people studied very hard and appeared in GATE although they have studied opted EI in B.Tech. If you are looking for placement, then DAVV is the best. This institute always has better placement statistics than the other one that is SGSITS. My friend also told me that in DAVV, most of the students from E&TC, despite EI, are preferred by the recruitment companies. In the following, the placement statistics of these two institutes are highlighted. Criteria SGSITS IET-DAVV Highest CTC 33-32 LPA 32 LPA Lowest CTC 11 LPA 12-14 LPA Average CTC 15-16 LPA 19.9 LPA Placement Statistics 90% 90% If you have not so many ideas about the stream and do not aware of the institutional tag; then it is better to choose E&TC in DAVV. Besides, if you are considering these two institutes, then both are quite similar in terms of academics. However, E&TC also has many other fields in the future, so that the job opportunity might be expanded. Hence, it will be best to go for E&TC over EI....Read more

Ques. How is ETC engineering in IET DAVV in terms of placements?

● Top Answer By Subarno Ghose on 11 May 21

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is a decent choice to pursue in IET DAVV if you are looking forward to cracking GATE. This branch has a decent placement record too. The faculty of the department is quite good and will guide you with your GATE preparation. However, if you expect core electronics recruiters, you will be disappointed. In campus placement drive, students of ETC branch mostly get recruited in IT companies or mass recruiters. Here are the recent placement highlights of the ETC branch. Average CTC 3.36 LPA Highest CTC 20.5 LPA Placement Average  90% Major Recruiters  Nuclei, decode, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc.  Hope this gives you an idea about the placements for the ETC branch....Read more

Ques. Which is the better option, ET in IET DAVV or CSE in JEC?

● Top Answer By Angad Singh on 13 Jul 21

A few of my friends graduated from both IET DAVV and JEC. They say that the choice mostly varies according to your interests and the plans you have for your future. If you are planning for GATE then ET will not be a good choice. But if you are thinking of campus placements then IET has better records of placements than JEC. There is no more chance of growth in ET compared to CS. You will get better placements with CSE but for exposure and environment, IET is the better one. You will find good seniors and quite a supportive faculty. Talking of the colleges’ locations, Indore is better than Jabalpur not only fits your plans but also an important parameter while choosing a college. Categories ET in IET DAVV CSE in JEC Course Fee 2.74 lakh 22,300 (1st year) Highest CTC 20 LPA 7-9 LPA Average CTC 6 LPA 3.5 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Phillips, Tech Mahindra, Mu Sigma, etc. Wipro, Persistence, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. Finally, IET is a better college compared to JEC but the ET course at IET is mediocre while the CS branch has a great scope. However, the final decision is up to you. Choose wisely....Read more

Ques. Which is the better branch, mechanical or E& TC at IET DAVV?

● Top Answer By Ankita Jain on 13 Jul 21

Opt for any of these branches only if you are really interested in either of these branches or if you have plans of pursuing post-graduation in either of the subjects. The reason behind this lies in whether you will be treating your technical graduation degree just as a simple graduation degree or are you really looking for it. If it is just going to be a simple graduation degree just like in campus placements, government job preparations, MBA entrance preparations, GRE preparations, etc., then it is not worth going for, because there is too much work in these branches. If this is the case, choose any of the branches from CSE, IT, EI, and Civil Engineering. It will help you in saving a lot of time and hence, prepare well for entrances. Also, you can fully enjoy your college life....Read more

Ques. Which is better, ET or CS at IET DAVV Indore?

● Top Answer By Parveen Sinha on 14 Jul 21

The most important thing when it comes to such a decision is to follow the subject of your choice and then go for the institute criteria. ET and CSE are different and have major variations in their courses. Being a CSE graduate myself, I would prefer you also opt for CSE as it is widely in demand. ET is comparatively less demanding than CSE in today’s world CSE has more variation and offers various specializations required in the corporate world. CSE has a much better future and its scope increases with each passing day. ET experiences very few core companies for recruitment and not with a heavy package whereas CSE experiences the best recruitment from various core companies and also from tech giants offering hefty packages. ROI (Return of Investment) is considered highest in the CSE branch in every institute. The internship is also better in the CSE branch. Students often get internships offered from 2 places. Faculty wise CSE branch has experienced professors with more than 15 years. Categories CSE at IET DAVV Course Fee 2.74 lakh Highest CTC 25 LPA Average CTC 16 LPA There are several benefits of being a CSE graduate. Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Accenture, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, etc. participate in the placement drive. You will definitely secure a job offer very easily. Due to the huge demand, more and more students opt for CSE than any other branch....Read more
