About Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University
The Faculty of Management Studies of BHU functions under the Institute of Management Studies. It was established in 1968 and is a public institution offering only Management courses at PG and doctoral levels.
FMS BHU is considered as one of the Top B-Schools among IIMs in the country as per Indian Express. All admissions are based on CAT for MBA and MBA-IB courses followed by academic performance and interview.
The Department also offers students with summer internships and on-campus placements. It partners with over 100 companies which take forth the recruitment process. In 2023, it got 56th NIRF rank in management category. The Institute also secured 54th rank in Business Today (BT) 2023 in Top B-Schools.

FMS BHU Admission
MBA and MBA-IB admissions are based on entrance exams like CAT for domestic candidates and GMAT for international candidates along with TOEFL. MBA-AB admission is based on entrance conducted by BHU. International applicants are also eligible to apply for admission. There are national level entrances like UG-NET, JRF are accepted for Ph.D admission or CRET conducted by BHU.

Applications are accepted differently for all courses offered for admission. The basic idea for applying is as follows:
- Go to the official website of FMS BHU.
- Click on the link to the Application Form available under the Latest News section on the home page.
- Now register yourself by providing essential details.
- After successful registration, sign in with the registered email id and password.
- Now proceed to fill the application form.
- Also upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the form.
- Once the form is filled, click on the “Submit” button.

FMS BHU Placement
FMS BHU completed its 2020 placement drive. More than 25 recruiters participated. Major recruiters included IBM, Infosys, Genpact, Federal Bank, Wipro, IDBI Bank etc. Highlights of the 2020 placement drive are as follows:

FMS BHU Facilities

Library:
The central library at the Institute of Management Studies has a collection of more than 1.5 million books, journals, magazines, newspapers in different languages.
Hostels:
The Institute has separate hostel facilities for both male and female students on the campus. The rooms are allotted on a twin sharing basis with all the basic amenities such as LAN connection, TV, common hall, sports room, gym, etc.
Health Care:
