Shri Shivaji Jr College of Education, Sangli was established in 1953. College is affiliated to Maharashtra State Exam council, Pune and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E). The campus area of the college is 7 acres housing a few other activities of the Parent Society along with its offices. The college has a beautiful infrastructure with very big playground, a Gymkhana with 12 multi gyms, Library with reading room facility, Canteen, Hostel, Vehicle Parking Shed, a Computer Lab, Ladies Common room and the Guidance and Counseling Cell. The sports wing has been very good in Hockey and Soft ball etc.
