Deepshika Institute of Child Development and Mental Health, Ranchi is an institute in the field of developmental disabilities like, Mental retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, etc and is run by a group of house wives and volunteers of Purshree, the parent organization. Child development and upliftment of the lives of persons with disabilities (PWDs) has been the central area of work for the institution. It is working constantly on comprehensive rehabilitation of children and raise awareness at various platforms and communities to meet their needs. It is functioning to provide equality and dignity in lives of such people.

• Vocational training Unit: Deepshika has a special unit which prepares the persons with disability to get employment and also aims at an overall development of the child, both physically and mentally through various activities like Marble/screen painting, cookery, diya painting, file making etc.
• Vast Networks: it has networks at National, state and district level with various eminent foundations, trusts, societies and institutions like Rehabilitation council of India, National Trust, etc. available for its support.
• Best NGO’09: Deepshika has been entitled as the best NGO by National Trust in 2009. It has also received the ‘Derozio Award’ in 2012 in special education.
• Rehabilitation Training Centre: the institute is the first centre in the state to train rehabilitation professionals. It has been running RCI courses since 1991.
