KJSCE offers various scholarships to deserving candidates. The scholarships are provided in the form of tuition waivers and a candidate can avail of only one scholarship. The scholarship provided to the students shall be based on the documents provided to the college and any discrepancy in documents will lead to forfeiture of the scholarship. KJSCE Mumbai provides various scholarships to B.Tech as well as M.Tech students. The scholarship mentioned below is for the academic session 2022-23:

  • Financial Aid for needy students: The Somaiya Vidyavihar University is a global institution that is committed to offering quality education accessible and affordable to all. The university offers financial waiver to those in need up to 20 to 80% of total fees. Eligibility criteria for financial Aid (Any One): Family income of less than INR 800,000/- per annum,  Persons with Disabilities (PwD),  Wards of defence personnel disabled or deceased in the line of duty.

Industry Sponsored Scholarships for UG

Blue Star: Mohan T. Advani Centennial Scholarships program supports economically challenged but academically deserving students in their pursuit of a professional/technical program, and prepares them for their professional lives. The Blue Star Foundation supports the scholars in a holistic manner by providing them with financial support, bolstered with mentoring and internship opportunities as well as soft skills training.

JSW Foundation: This scholarship program is presented by JSW Foundation in association with Vidyasaarathi. It aims at making education accessible to deserving students.  This scholarship is offered to First or Second-year students from any of the following departments: Department of Computer Engineering/Department of Electronics Engineering/Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Department of Mechanical Engineering/Department of Information Technology.

Ramlal Khetawat: This scholarship is offered to any student from the second year to the final year, except those admitted Directly to the Second Year, from any of the following departments: Department of Computer Engineering/Department of Electronics Engineering/Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Department of Mechanical Engineering/Department of Information Technology. Students have to apply every year for the renewal of the scholarship.

Sulzer: The scholarship aims to support and increase the participation of women in the science and engineering professions. This scholarship is offered to female students in the first year from the Department of Mechanical Engineering who have scored a minimum first class (60%) or more in the 10th (Secondary School Certificate) and 12th (Higher Secondary Certificate) standards.

People United for Students’ Help (PUSH) for UG

With an aim of raising funds in support of needy students, some employees of KJSCE came together to establish an organization, “PUSH” (People United for Students’ Help). Funds are collected annually from employees, students, alumni and well-wishers. This scholarship is offered to any student from the second year to the final year, except those admitted Directly to the Second Year, from any of the following departments: Department of Computer Engineering/Department of Electronics Engineering/Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Department of Mechanical Engineering/Department of Information Technology.

Somaiya Scholarship

These scholarships are in memory of alumni or Professors who were a part of the Somaiya Institutions. Somaiya Scholarship is an opportunity offered to all Somaiya Vidyavihar and Ayurvihar students pursuing different courses from Diploma to Degree. The scholarship is designed to provide tuition assistance to hardworking, meritorious students with financial needs. Mentioned below are the details for the same:

Merit-cum Need-based

Dr. Meenakshi Rajana Memorial Scholarship: Somaiya Scholarship for Humanity (Arts) students was established in 2017 in memory of Dr Meenakshi Rajan This scholarship is to financially assist the needy and promising students of Humanities (Arts students) at Somaiya Vidyavihar.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be applying to the Humanity course.
  • The candidate may be limited to other need-based scholarships & loans.
  • The candidate must have scored first class in the previous academic year.
  • Humanities Scholarship will be awarded based on previous academic grades and need.

Bharti Nanji Gala Scholarship and Nirmala Raychand Savla Scholarship: Bharati Nanji Gala Memorial Scholarship was established in 2014 through a contribution by Mr. Dhiren Savla (Alumni of KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce). Nirmala Raychand Savla Memorial Scholarship was Established in 2014 through a contribution by Mr. Dhiren Savla, Somaiya Vidyavihar Alumnus, for a named annual scholarship in memory of his mother Smt. Nirmala Raychand Savla.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should be a girl student of somaiya vidyavihar/ayurvihar.
  • Candidate May be attending Any diploma, full-time or part-time course.
  • The candidate should have scored first class in all previous academic years.
  • Annual Household income 3,00,000 or less.

Smt. Sakarbai K Somaiya Scholarship & Smt. Mayadevi S Somaiya Memorial Scholarship: The Somaiya need-based scholarship is a program that sponsors students that lack financial support to complete their education and have no access to other government scholarships & loans. Priority will be given to candidates with a marked socioeconomic disadvantage. Once the scholarship is awarded it will continue till the end of the course.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must demonstrate proven financial need and be able to provide evidence of their financial accounts.
  • Candidates must be asked to submit additional documents during the application or interview process.
  • The candidate should be a student of somaiya vidyavihar / Ayurvihar and could be having limited access to other need-based scholarships & loans.
