Joginpally BR Engineering College (JBREC) offers four-year degree course of B.Tech in five specializations. Admissions are strictly based on EAMCET scores of applicants. The candidates who qualify the entrance test will be given admission through web based counselling.
Candidates who have passed or appearing in class 12 examinations and have Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology as optional subjects or vocational courses of Engineering and Technology are held eligible. Minimum 45% marks are required in class 12 examinations or equivalent and 40% marks for reserved category.

At postgraduate level the college offers degree of M.Tech in four specializations. Candidates who have GATE or TS PGECET scores are eligible for admissions through web based counselling. There is a separate counselling procedure for GATE candidates and PGECET candidates.
General category candidates must have secured 50% aggregate in marks in bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant field, while the reserved category need 45% marks to be eligible.

The college also offers MBA as PG course. Admissions are strictly based on candidate’s scores in TS ICET . No other entrance test scores are used. TS ICET is conducted by Kakatiya University in offline mode on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE).
Candidates seeking admissions should be graduates in any discipline from a UGC recognized university. They must have obtained minimum 50% (5% relaxation to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Appearing in Entrance Exam
- To register for state level counselling each candidate must have appeared in appropriate entrance exams.
- The application forms of EAMCET, PGECET and ICET are made available in online mode on the websites of concerned authorities.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates have to appear for certificate verification as per the schedule at any one of the Help Line Centers after official announcement of counselling.

- Candidates have to pay the processing/registration fee of counselling separately for each course via online mode - Debit Card/Credit Card or Net Banking.

- Web Based Counselling: Candidates have to fill the choice of college through web based counselling and lock their choice in the process.
- Reporting in the College: Once the final allotment is done candidates are required to take a print out of allotment letter and report to the college for final admission.
Management Quota Application Process
- B.Tech course application form are available for download on the college website.
- A payment of INR 2000 has to be made through DD drawn in favor of “Principal JBREC and Principal BEC”, payable at Hyderabad.
- The duly filled in form along with required documents must be submitted personally at the college/head office on or before June 30, 2021.
