What's New in IERT?

IERT Allahabad BTech admissions are based on JEE Main score 2024 followed by UPTAC Counselling. IERT Allahabad BTech admissions 2024 registration deadline has been extended till December 04. IERT Allahabad UG and PG admissions are based on CUET UG and CUET PG scores. NTA has declared the CUET UG and CUET PG exam dates. The CUET UG and CUET PG 2024 exams will be held from May 15 to May 31, and from March 11 to March 28, 2024 respectively.

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, established in 1955, is a state government engineering institution located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the oldest and premier institutions of India which offers B.Tech course in addition to various Diploma courses in multiple specializations.

IERT offers 3 years (6 semester) diploma courses in engineering/technology. These diplomas can be opted in various branches like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, plastic technology etc. The also institute also offers a 2 year (4 semester) undergraduate management diploma and a 1/1.5 year (3 semester) post diploma in computer application. Along with these courses, IERT also offers full time 4-year UG B.Tech degree in branches like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering etc.

Admission to the B.Tech course is done through the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) conducted every year.
Candidates seeking admission to the 4-year B.Tech course should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English as compulsory subjects.
Admission to the Engineering Diploma courses is done on the basis of IERT entrance examination.
Candidates applying for the 3-year Engineering Diploma courses should have passed High School (Class 10^th) examination with Science and Maths.
Candidates seeking admission to the 2-year Management diploma course should have passed 10+2 examination with English and Hindi studied in Class 10.
Similarly, candidates applying for the one and half year post diploma in computer application should have done graduation in any discipline with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects
Admission to both the management diploma and post diploma in computer applications is done on the basis of IERT entrance examination followed by an interview.

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT) B.Tech Admission 2023

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course should have passed the 10+2 examination from the U.P. board or any other equivalent examination conducted by a State Board/ Central Board (CBSE and ICSE) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English as compulsory subjects. Each branch of the B.Tech course has an intake of 60 students each.

As the B.Tech course of IERT is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, admission is done on the basis of merit in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) conducted every year followed by an online state-level counselling. Students who possess Diploma in Engineering/ Technology are also eligible for admission into the second year as per the lateral entry scheme of AKTU.

Candidates applying for the 3-year Engineering Diploma courses should have passed Class 10^th examination with Science and Maths conducted by a recognized board of education. Admission to the course is done on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination, conducted by IERT itself.

Candidates applying for the one and half year post diploma in computer application should have done graduation in any discipline with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects at intermediate level (10+2) level.

Candidates seeking admission to the 2-year Management diploma course should have passed their 10+2 examination conducted by any recognized board. The management diploma is offered in three branches namely, commercial practice, materials management and marketing management.

Shortlisted candidates are intimated for counselling which is conducted at the Allahabad campus. The IERT entrance for engineering diploma courses is conducted in the month of June every year.

Priority admission is given to students who have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through a letter and intimated for counselling along with important documents.

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT) Application Process 2023

Candidates can either download the application form online or obtain it from the campus branch after paying INr 1200 either by cash or through DD (payable to Director, IERT Allahabd).
Application forms need to be filled by the candidates and then mailed to the campus within the stipulated time.
Candidates need to download their admit card from the IERT website.

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT) Reservation Criteria

Reservation in admission is provided to the candidates belonging to the categories specified below -
