Silchar Medical college offers admission to MBBS program on the basis of performance in NEET. The minimum eligibility is a 10+2 pass in Science stream with at least 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) aggregate marks.

NEET is conducted by CBSE Board to provide admission in MBBS and BDS courses offered by Government and Private colleges located in all over India. The candidates can attempt for NEET only three times and upper age limit for applying for this examination is 25 years (30 years for SC/ST/OBC).

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% or above marks in aggregate.
• The candidate must be 17 years of age at the time of admission.
• A valid score or rank in the competitive examination is mandatory for admission in this course.
• MBBS is a regular full-time course with one year of internship.

At postgraduate4 level, the college offers MS and MD in different specializations. The candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

The MBBS degree along with one-year internship is mandatory for these courses. The application form can be filled offline.

Note: It is mandatory that the candidates have to complete a thesis during the course.

The diploma course is offered in four subjects. The selection of the candidates is based on the merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have completed MBBS from a recognized university/institute is eligible for admission in this course.
