- The program in Music offers a low student/teacher ratio that allows for personal attention, development, and growth, nurtured by a dedicated faculty.
- There are opportunities to study conducting and methods for various instruments. The major in Music Studies does not require an audition. It may be taken concurrently with a Bachelor of Education.
- There are many opportunities to participate in ensembles and other performance activities such as the Laurentian Concert Series, Laurentian University Choir, Laurentian Concert Band, Laurentian Jazz Combo, Sudbury Jazz Festival, and Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, among others.
