Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete an academic degree in the law program.
- GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 point system, over the past 2 years of full-time study (10 courses or 60 units) of a UG degree.
- Students must have to complete the Academic Communication Certificate with a minimum grade of A- in the Academic Writing and Composition course.
- Students to the LLM program must have to submit a brief description of their proposed thesis or major research paper and indicate their proposed supervisor.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelor’s degree with first-class from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year bachelor's degree must hold a master's degree.
- Or, have a CGPA of 8/10 (or 7.5/10 for IIT's only).
Submission of LSAT scores is compulsory for this program, and it is recommended to submit the scores for a better chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- CV/Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work and/or volunteer experience.
- Transcript: A PDF copy of all post-secondary transcripts within the application or in Carleton Central.
- Two Letter of Reference: One from students capable of assessing the applicant’s academic and research ability, normally an academic, and one from students who can attest to the applicant’s nursing practice and expertise
- Statement of Intent: Explain the reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
- Research proposal: Document proposing a research project, generally in the sciences or academia, and generally constitutes a request for sponsorship of that research.
- Statement of Purpose: An essay stating the purpose of applying to a particular course at a particular university.
- Statement of research interests: Student has to fill their interesting research work area in the application form.
- Document: A brief statement of their proposed thesis or major paper.
