The location was appealing to me and I had family in the city if I needed help with anything. I also had friends in the city and knew the city well. I heard it was one of the best places for nursing as you get to start placements in year 1.

Course Curriculum :

They could use some improvement but overall I believe that they are preparing us to be great nurses. The class sizes are reasonable and the clinical education practice is an excellent learning opportunity.

Placement :

I have had placements every year and they are good. There is not typically a repeat in any clinical placements, so we get a well-rounded placement educational experience over the course of 3 years. In the 4th year, we choose our own placements.

Fees :

I believe that nursing students pay a lot more than we should. We pay for things for clinical placements as well as mandatory textbooks for our classes. On top of this, parking should be free as we already pay $7500 or more a year to attend the university.

Scholarship :

I received OSAP, which is the provincial loan and grant program over the last 3 years. Without this funding, I would not be able to attend university, in town or away from home.

Examination Structure :

The exams are structured well. There are both short answers and multiple choice. They definitely make us think and help us to apply the concepts we have learned into real-life case study scenarios. I find they are preparing me to be a good nurse.

Faculty :

Some of the faculty seem like they are just there because they are getting paid. Others are excellent and very much care about their student's success and will do whatever they can to help us understand the content.
