It's a liberal Arts School that offers it's students the best they can possibly have, the Fine Arts program and the communications programs are amazing and the state's government had a partnership with my high school.
Course Curriculum :
I love it. STU has so many different courses, you can go in so many different ways and you don't need to decide what you are majoring in until the end of the second year so you can try different things.
Exams :
TOEFL, I didn't take any tests. In fact, they were only interested in my curriculum and what I would bring to school and that is what I love about STU.
Events :
The international community at my university is huge. We are always celebrating this fact. Multicultural fairs are always happening, careers fairs as well. STU is always promoting mental health days with therapy dogs, counselling, it's just awesome.
Fees :
International students pay the double and that is a downside. You can definitely apply for a scholarship or bursary and I need to say that I have never seen a university that gives more scholarships than STU. But for those that don't have anything, like me, it is a little expensive since we have to pay for everything. Residence in the first year is mandatory, the meal plan is expensive and there are some fees.
Examination Structure :
Depends on the course that you are taking. Some professors like to do workshops, projects. Some professors like to do written tests. Since I am in the Fine arts program I do a lot of performances instead of tests. But mid-term and final-test it's the general exam structure.
Faculty :
They are amazing. Everyone is so helpful, kind, always there to help us with anything at any time. My professors are incredible and I don't have anything to complain.
Hostel :
I lived in residence for this past year. The fact that is off-campus and that I have my own bathroom is the best part. Some things are a little weird like the fact that the meal hall of my residence has no lunch.
