I wanted to live on my own, the city of Vancouver is fantastic and the University of British Columbia, especially the faculty of Applied Science (where I was planning to study) was ranked highly in multiple ranking metrics.

Course Curriculum

7

Not bad, learning a lot. I enjoy some of the classes such as Spreadsheet-Based Modeling and Data Analysis; Polymers and Polymer Matrix Composites; Coatings and Surface Modifications; Mechanical Behavior of Materials; Phase Transformations; Structure and Properties Lab.

Fees

The tuition fee varies depending on the number of credits you take each year, and whether you're a Canadian Student or an international student. For the most up-to-date info, visit Undergraduate tuition fees. Estimate how much you'll be spending on a meal plan, your tuition, housing, and books by using the UBC Cost Calculator.

Examination Structure

Materials Engineering is concerned with the characterization, processing, and use in the design of metallic and non-metallic materials. An optional Co-operative Education program is available which permits students to obtain twenty months of related experience in the last three years of the program.

Faculty

It's a pretty good faculty, it includes people such as Asselin, Edouard, Cockcroft, Steve, Dixon, David, Dreisinger, David, Fernlund, G'ran, Ko, Frank.
