- Graduate Certificate in Environmental Monitoring and Impact Assessment degree at the Cambrian College is offered a 1-year (3 semesters) program.
- This program is offered on a full-time basis.
- This program's focus is on environmental monitoring (air, water, soil, ecology) in support of industry requirements as well as part of Environmental Site/Impact Assessments.
- In this course, learn from professors who are active in the field; being in Sudbury offers a unique perspective to learn firsthand the consequences of environmental impacts, and provides unique opportunities with ongoing monitoring projects.
- The classroom component of the program is supported by the placement for on-the-job training to ensure students obtain the necessary hands-on skills in the field.
- Placement in semester three to provide hands-on work experience in the field.
- Opportunities throughout the year to earn certifications related to the environmental field (e.g., Green Check GPS, Ontario Benthos Biomonitoring Network).
- Students will also prepare to write the Water Operator-in-Training (OIT) exam.
- Students have the opportunity to apply to be part of paid applied research teams to work on new product development alongside industry representatives and Cambrian faculty.
- The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:17 which helps increase interaction between professors and students.
- Students can get opportunities for experiential learning through clubs and competitions.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree from an Ontario College or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Earth/Environmental Science/Studies, Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering).
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 70% marks.
- Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree in an equivalent field.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Statement of Interest: Reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
- Two confidential letters of recommendation: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics and that references should submit along with the application system.
- Proof that students have enough money to support themselves during their stay in Canada.
- Letters of reference or any other documents the visa office tell students to bring.
