Important Dates
This course is a professionally accredited engineering degree for students who have completed undergraduate studies in engineering.
Student will specialise in a program of engineering and undertake advanced engineering technical units, professional units, a design and a research project, and undertake an eight to 12-week professional practicum.
Beyond practice as a professional engineer, student will pursue further research studies in engineering, as well as seek employment in a wide range of related industries. The following specialisations are available:

Upon successful completion, student will have an internationally recognised qualification that allows him/her to practise as a professional engineer.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have either—
- A UWA bachelor's degree with a major in Engineering Science or Bachelor of Automation and Robotics
- A bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and
- The equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent; and
- Prior studies in engineering, physics or mathematics;
- Completed units in the Master of Professional Engineering Preliminary course at UWA as prescribed by the Faculty;
- Completed a UWA Diploma in Science with a major in Engineering Science1
Students are required to achieve a course weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent in their bachelor's degree or a weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent in the Level 3 units of the Engineering Science major.
English Proficiency:
- IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
- TOEFL: n overall score of 82 with a minimum score of: 22 in the Writing section; 18 in the Reading section; 20 in the Speaking section; and 20 in the Listening section
- PTE: An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 59 in the speaking and writing sections, and no less than 54 in the listening and reading sections
- India Examination (CBSE) and Indian School Certificate (CISCE): English language components with a minimum grade B2 (CBSE) or 60% (CISCE)
