Course Details

University of Gour Banga is a 30.5 acre campus on the periphery of Malda, offering Undergraduate Courses related to Arts, Commerce & Science streams. Currently  University of Gour Banga has 34 affiliated colleges out of which 20 general degree colleges provide B.A. /B.Sc. /B.Com. /B.C.A. /B.B.A. / B.H.M. courses, 12 colleges provide B.Ed. course & one College offers B.P.Ed. Course and one college conducts 5 years integrated LL.B. (B.A. & LL.B) course. 

Under the provisions of the university scheme, seat allotment is reserved for students belonging to SC/ST or Physically Handicapped. Students may apply online for various courses and the colleges affiliated to them.

Fees Structure

The payment of the entire annual fee has to be made at the time of admission only.  For Self-Financing Colleges: INR 1, 40,000.00 (FOR TWO YEARS) + Rs. 5,000.00 as refundable caution money  Break-up of Fee Structure for Self-Financing B.Ed. Colleges:  1ST YEAR Admission /Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000.00 

2ND YEAR Admission /Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000.00 

Admission Process

For deputed applicants, selection would largely be on the basis of their teaching experience, preferably the in-service IX-XII teaching applicants.

For freshers, selection will be purely on the basis of academic qualification as per G.O. (calculation of score marks).

For physically handicapped students selection will take place on the basis of percentage of disability and score/marks as per G.O.

Counselling Procedure:

  • The counseling programme schedule will be published along with the final merit lists on the prescribed date on the university website.
  • Interested candidates have to present themselves 30 minutes before the commencement of the process along with print out of their Online Application Form and Original documents for verification.
  • A payment of INR 2000/- as counseling fees (refundable) must be deposited at the time of counseling process. 

NOTE:  The fee is non-refundable if the candidate fails to appear at the time of admission.

How To Apply?

Candidates have to fill the following details in the application form:-

  • Personal Details: Candidate Name, Mobile Number, Guardian’s name, Gender, Category (General/ST/SC/OBC-A/OBC-B), Date of Birth, Present Address, Email ID.  
  • Educational details: Passing year, Registration Number & Board name of Madhyamik, Board name of & Higher Secondary, Passing Year of H.S, Total Marks, Marks Obtained, University Name, Registration Number with Year.

STEP 1: Fill in all the personal & educational/institutional details as per required in the form. You will receive an SMS regarding the Registration ID and password on you registered mobile number (which you have provided at the time of registration)

STEP 2:  

  • Login into your account through the sent registration ID and password and fill in the required personal and educational details.
  • Choose the required candidature type (Fresher/Deputed)
  • After filling up the details, choose the graduation type (Honors/Pass).
  • Submit the required academic information.
  • Choose the preferred payment option Online/Offline. All offline payments can be done via bank challan.

STEP 3:

  • Candidates have to upload their self-attested scanned passport size photo (Max 2 MB).
  • Print the form and carry it at all the time during admissions.

Application fee: INR 700.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred Only) + INR. 40.00 (Rupees Twenty Two) for Offline Mode.

Other Important Information

  • Minimum 75% attendance of total lectures is compulsory for all students. Any student with less the minimum shall not be allowed to appear in the final examinations.
  • Students who fail to attend the college premises in all first 15 days from the commencement of classes maybe struck off from the college roles and the seat will be marked vacant.
  • Other university students shall submit their Migration certificate within 30 days from the date of admission to the Principal/Teacher responsible for admission processes.
