Ph.D. (Economics) From SAU Delhi, New Delhi

1. A minimum of 17 years of regular education (12 years of regular schooling + a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree or 4-year Bachelor’s degree + a 1 year Master’s degree leading to to an MA/MSc degree in Economics or related specializations) from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

2. Applicants who have not completed their Masters level course and are yet to appear for their last year/semester exam may also take the Entrance Test. However, their admission will be subject to their fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria of the aggregate percentage of marks at the Masters level besides clearing the Entrance Test.

Admission will be in 2 phases.The first phase consists of an Entrance Test and candidates will be shortlisted for the second phase on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test. Those shortlisted for the second phase, will have to submit a written research proposal and face an interview. A minimum of 50% marks will have to be secured separately, in both the written test and the interview, in order to be eligible for admission. The final merit list will be prepared by totaling the marks obtained in both the phases.

• Tuition fee- US$ 4500 per semester (US$ 9000 per year) for day scholars  & US$ 5100 per semester (US$ 10200 per year) for boarders

• Students' Aid Fund- INR50 per semester

2. For SAARC Students-

• Security Deposit (Refundable)- US$ 100
