The cutoff depends on many parameters and not just only on the CAT score. For example, candidates from non-engineering backgrounds can have a lower cutoff score but still secure a seat due to the diversity point.
Every year, the final selection phase gets completed tentatively by April and the candidates get emails regarding the information and further communication. After being selected, candidates have to reconfirm their choice within a fixed amount of time, and only then they are further communicated and invited for the following rounds.
