Presently I am doing a BA, English Hons (2nd year) from Magadh University What are the career options I have?

The idea that journalism is a career option for only those who have completed their Bachelor’s with the same background is a myth. If you are skilled in writing and are fluent in English then you would certainly catch the eye of the news channels. 

• You can complete a diploma in journalism and a postgraduate in mass communication. 
• You can write in newspapers, magazines, etc.
• With an English Honors degree, you can also become an author. You can also be a translator or a specialist in the language. 
• You can be a translator or interpreter in BPOs if your English is strong.
• Public relations and advertising also have a huge scope for students who have completed English Honors as creativity is key in an area like this. 
• You can also try your hand in scriptwriting.
• Another career option is that of a brand manager in social media. You can help in the promotion and development of the products and also the brand in turn.
• If you are confident in your vocabulary and diction then you can try your luck in research analysis. It entails the analysis and editing of research papers.

You can also try being a teacher by completing the B.Ed degree which is mandatory for the job of a teacher. A subtitle specialist can also be a suitable career option. You will be asked to prepare subtitles for movies, shows, etc.
