What is better, IGNOU or PTU?
IGNOU is better than PTU. IGNOU courses are better recognized in the industry. It is a trusted distance education institution in India. IGNOU has all the required accreditation. If you are planning on pursuing distance education, choosing IGNOU will be wiser.
PTU degrees are valid. The university offers decent academics. But in industry, IGNOU degrees are more reputed.

Studying in PTU is a better option according to a former teacher I used to know. She found it preferable to study at PTU or the institutes affiliated with it. Some of them are CKD, ACET, KCET, GNIET, etc. They have a good record of placements.
- The highest package offered to the students of ACET was INR 40 LPA and the average package was INR 12 LPA.
- The top companies that recruited students of ACET were Qatar Airways, HP, TCS, Amazon, etc.
- On top of these, PTU also provides free education to students belonging to the SC/ST category.
IGNOU is also very popular and a big number of students who graduate from IGNOU end up in very good companies. But it is suggested that you opt for PTU as it is more reliable.
