If you believe that the finance placements and packages at JBIMS are comparable to those at IIM Calcutta, you are mistaken.

JBIMS and IIM-C don't even agree on anything.

Some may argue that most companies that visit IIM-C also attend JBIMS, but the reality is hidden in the roles available and the salary packages available.

JBIMS is good for finance, but IIM-C is not comparable; it is in a different league entirely.

Almost everyone receives a placement in JBIMS as the batch size is much smaller consisting of 70-75 students in the finance department. Companies tend to offer similar packages and roles to both JBIMS as well IIM Calcutta. JBIMS is a reputed college in finance in this league. Although there are exceptions as certain companies visiting IIM C refuse to visit JBIMS and vice versa. Rest assured, top companies that visit IIM C also visit JBIMS except for the exceptions.

Here is a brief overview of the recent placement statistics for these two institutes.

Average CTC	20 LPA	25 LPA
Highest CTC	27 LPA	60 LPA
Top Recruiters	Axis Bank, HUL, Abbot	Airtel, R&B, Loreal
