Is Anna University better than BITS?

BITS is definitely better than Anna University. It has a better brand value and offers excellent placements. BITS Pilani placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.33 CPA. While the average CTC offered was INR 28.99 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, etc. are some of the major recruiters that took part in the placement drive. 

Although BITS fees are way higher. Anna University courses cost about one-tenth of BITS.

Anna University and Birla Institute of Technology (BITS) are two renowned top institutes. Here are some of the important aspects of both the institutes.

  • Location - Anna University is located at the heart of Chennai while the main campus of BITS is located in Pilani, an isolated place while other campuses of Goa and Hyderabad are in decent locations. Hence Anna University has an upper hand here.
  • Admissions - At Anna University The admissions at the UG level is through merit in standard 12 boards. The admissions at BITS undergraduate level is through BITSAT.
  • Courses -Anna University has a wide range of departments that offers all courses. Many niche departments can also be found. In BITS the list of all departments is not as extensive as in Anna University. It is most famous for its engineering courses.
